Energy and Exergy Analyses of Adsorption Chiller at Various Recooling-Water and Dead-State Temperatures

We conducted energy and exergy analyses of an adsorption chiller to investigate the effect recooling-water temperatures on cooling capacity Coefficient Performance (COP) with variable cycle modes. investigated both temperature dead state destruction in components. Our results show that there is optimum reheat mode for each range. For basic single stage cycle, mainly accrued desorber (49%), followed by adsorber (27%), evaporator (13%), condenser (9%), expansion valve (2%). The preheating process approximately 35% total desorber. By contrast, precooling almost 58% adsorber. decreases when increasing temperatures, while efficiency increases. Nonetheless, increase at fixed temperatures. mass recovery time was also investigated, increases adsorbent beds most sensitive time.
